I started The Lab Beauty Training Academy with a vision; to create and deliver effective, streamlined training programmes for the beauty community. The business was founded with one goal in mind - to make effective, safe and affordable beauty treatments and training. Our Beauty Treatment and Training space offers a modern, clinical and private setting for all your needs. All our treatments and products are medically approved, and our specialists strive to understand and exceed our clients expectations. 

 

I am a certified beauty industry professional who founded The Lash Lab Co. in 2018 with one goal in mind: the wellbeing, safety and beauty of my clients. I have been in the beauty industry since 2013 as a make-up artist running my make-up business alongside doing a degree in Psychology. Once I completed my degree in 2018 I decided I no longer wanted to pursue a career in psychology but wanted to become self employed full time. Following this in September 2018 I decided to sign up to a classic semi-permanent eyelash extension course for October and it is safe to say I have never looked back since.

I want to give you brief overview of my background so you can see where The Lab Beauty Training Academy has come from. I started my journey in the beauty community way back in 2014 as a makeup artist - which I still love there's a tag on the menu bar above for my makeup page! I was a shy 18 year old with minimal self confidence in my ability and I had my head focussed completely on my academic studies as I wanted to become a forensic psychologist. I went to an all girls school and would always do my friends makeups at the time for nights out and I loved it. My friend Shanny, who I am forever grateful for, give me the kick up the bum I needed and made me my very own makeup instagram page in April 2014. She uploaded some pics of makeups I had done on her and my friends, followed some accounts and sent me the login details - I was still so nervous at this point! It was from here I found a love for business and being self employed was my new dream.

It is important to note I carried and sat my A-Levels and completed my BcS Hons Psychology Degree at Edge Hill University, as I was still unsure what I wanted to do and makeup is only really a weekend job so I could still run this alongside my degree and also a potential future job. Business blossomed in 2016 and I loved running my business more and more each day. I graduated from my degree on 17th July 2018 and decided I no longer wanted to pursue a career in psychology but wanted to continue with my career in the beauty industry.

The Lash Lab Co. was established on the 3rd October 2018 carrying out solely classic lash extension treatment (FACT- my original name was 'The Beauty Bar By L' but I always hated the name as it was not original or did not have the pizazz I was looking for). This was the foundation that I built my business upon and I knew I wanted to add to my treatment list and progress immediately! At the end of November I added Elleebanna Lash Lift Training and Volume Lash Extension Training to my treatment lists. From here my immediate dedication was to my progression and development in the area and I wanted to become a master at my craft. Remember good things come to those who PRACTICE!!!

Practice definitely makes perfect and don't get me wrong there were definitely days where I felt like giving up, where I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong - for example where a client would turn tup for a 2 week infill with not an eyelash extension left and you just want to cry!! (we've all been there it's a learning curve).

I always set out at the beginning of this journey with a need to help and better others. I wanted to get myself to a position where I could provide courses so that I can teach people within the community and show people why it is that I love this ever changing and developing industry so much. I also wanted to be able to provide my clients with services to suit their needs, to increase confidence and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

I am a fully qualified teacher and assessor. By completing my Teacher training qualification in 2020 I was able to start my dream. All courses are detailed, knowledgable and come with a manual. You won't be disappointed! We are always available to help you post-training with any queries or additional training you would like.
